Pipeau or Mini-pipe II

Mini pipes are fun to make, and they can easily be started and completed within a few hours of work, so sometimes it's a lot of fun to see just how quickly one can be made.  Pipes such as this one didn't take too long to make, but it doesn't take away any quality from it!  In fact, since this piece of wood isn't carved much, it's very sturdy while still being secretive.  The Square Pipeau (or mini-pipe) is excellent for travelers or those who don't wish to spend a fortune on a good looking wooden pipe.
The pipe is made from solid Birdseye Maple, simply sanded down to a smooth edge and polished with a Tung oil hand rub finish.  Its simplicity is deceiving, as it is high quality wood with apparent woodgrain and a nice coat of finish.  Perfect for that modest, anti-materialistic occasional smoker!
Relative in size to the earlier round Pipeau, they are siblings, if I may use the term.  These two pieces were once a single stick cut in half for the purpose of mini-pipes, and a third one is on the way, if only I had inspiration.  (Some people might say this Square Pipeau is a result of my lack of inspiration, and they're absolutely right!)
