Face Pipe!

My Very First Pipe!
I'm rather proud of this one, since it started with a simple leftover piece of Cherrywood from a much larger piece of furniture.  The shape asked to be transformed in the Easter Island Head, so I picked up some documentation, searched for pictures and carved it with a 1" carving knife.  I purposely left a collar between the head piece and the bowl, as to separate the two parts properly.  It was sanded down and finished in Tung oil with a hand-rub finish with 7 coats on the head piece and 3 on the bowl.  It gives the head a darker color as well as a simple shine.
This little project was almost fully carved while working at a convenience store during my night shifts!  The bowl is covered in a matching cap that allows it to be set pretty much anywhere and seen as a decoration or tiny sculpture rather than a pipe, so it was never an issue.
The size of the pipe is relatively small; small enough to be hidden in a pocket, or even palmed if quick hiding is needed, while at the same time being a big enough size to ensure comfortable use and little risk of burn.

The measurements are as follows:
Length : 80mm
Width : 25mm
Mouthpiece : 9mm thick
Bowl width : 13mm
Bowl depth : 24mm
